DESCRIPTION
The Wing collection of coffee tables were made with the aeronautical materials used to build the wing components of airplanes and helicopters. Honeycomb is, as the name suggests, a honeycomb material used within the structural components of aircraft and helicopters (wings, doors, body) which looks like a honeycomb and can be both metallic and Nomex ( paper and resin). By cutting a wing component of an airplane in half, the same profile proposed on the table would be found, hence the name of the work: WING (wing). The table legs are instead made by overlapping layers of aluminum with layers of honeycomb. In this way, the designers reveal and ennoble a material that is usually hidden, making it a co-star of excellence in creation. A unique piece designed for homes in which elegance and originality coexist.
