DESCRIPTION
Pitone is a boat-shaped centerpiece in Murano glass with shinning multicolored transparency combined with strips of gold leaf. The design of this centerpiece recalls the python skin and the shape is typical of a very popular Venetian boat, the Gondola. This Venetian boat is one of the main characteristics of Venice. The handmade mosaic technique is used to create this centerpiece. First, square glass pieces or very small multi-colored rectangles are meticulously cut and joined together. Then the glass fusing is performed to create the gondola shape.
