Cécile Geiger work is inspired by the nature that surrounds her: rocks, branches, layers, vegetation, landscapes.
In manipulating steel too, folding, cutting welding, then polishing it until it shines or transforming the surfaces through rust or black hematite patin. The abstract interlacing forms, at once harmonious and complex, rugged and fragile and weathered by the changing seasons provide her with endless possibilities and an unlimited freedom as her sculptures reflect and respond.
